AC Shadows Unveils Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the formal release, "A strange encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.
The mission focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to multiple objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
